Darrin Winston

We received sad news that Darrin Winston suffered from a ruptured spleen and died on Friday, August 15th. Darren was 42 years old. His wife, Jerilyn and their six children and one grandchild, as well as his brothers, Scott and Cory, and their father, Bob, need your prayers. Since he went to be with the Lord, it was his great gain,
 but it is our great loss.

Some of you may know Darrin as the former Rutgers standout who pitched two seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies and also spent four seasons with the Somerset Patriots and time with the minor leagues.  Darren was a great family man who was outspoken about his faith. You may also know his brother, Scott who attends our church, whose son is a national wrestling champion who will also be attending Rutgers this fall. Darrin's brother, Cory and his father, Bob also attend our church. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Darrin's family and encourage you
to keep them in your prayers, asking God help them draw near to Him
and for Him to comfort them as only He can do.
